Now if you want to have more intense workouts and burn more calories in a shorter amount of time there are several ways.

First of all is a higher treadmill incline. Walking uphill will force your lager muscle groups to work and burn more calories. So change the incline in case you want to keep your 30 min duration but consume more calories.

Another method to accelerate your weigh loss process is the change of the speed. When you move faster muscle needs more energy so they will burn more calories. You can alternate the changing of incline and speed and do also interval workouts. This will make your treadmill workouts less boring and more intense.

Another way to increase your calorie burn is to put some weight on ankles. If your body is heavier your muscle will have to work harder and they will need more energy.

Last but not least: do the exercises correctly. If you walk/jog and keep your hands on handrails you will burn fewer calories. Keeping a correct posture is vital for your weight loss program so make sure that you focus on movements first and them on incline and speeds.
