This is the second part of a bigger post : How to Buy a Treadmill .We are pretty sure that most of you know what parts are the most important ones in a treadmill and for what to look when you purchase a new one but in case you do not….. Here is the part 2
On the first part we told you about the motor which is the most important part of a treadmill. You need to remember that treadmill is as good as his motor.
The belts
In this case the thicker the deck the more cushioning and comfort. So when you buy a treadmill look for the machines that has new and thick deck systems. The more cushion they have the less negative impact on your joints.
If you have long legs pay extra attention to the belt. Make sure that is not a short one and you have enough room.We recommend to test drive your treadmill. Also go for the models you already used in a gym and make sure you don’t buy a ‘bouncy’ treadmill.
The usual speed for a people who walk is between 3-6 mph and 6-10 for runners. So make sure that your treadmill has the maximum speed at least 10 mph.

Computer Controls
Most treadmills have some sort of computer programming which will display the speed, calories burned and other information. Many of the new treadmill have a lot of workouts designed by fitness trainers. These workouts focus on fitness, weight loss and performance and will automatically adjust the speed and incline of the belt.
If you are new in treadmill training you should pick a model that has these software features. Some of them offer virtual opponents that will try to beat you in a virtual race (this is a extra cool feature).
Emergency Shut-Off
If by any chance you see a model that doesn’t have this feature: DON”T BUY IT.
Hmm We think we will have a part 3 for this post …. More to come in a few hours… ![]()
