Holding Onto the Handrail or Console

When they first use a treadmill most of beginners have the tendency hold the handrails in order to gain stability. This is fine for the first 2-3 sessions but we all realize that this is not the right and natural way to walk or run.

Holding onto the handrails doesn’t a allow you to move correctly, move the arms in a natural way or to achieve a better stride. This mistake will prevent you to achieve a good walking posture.

Look at a runner that jogs in the park. Now imagine this person running in the park without moving is hands. It will look very strange and unnaturally.

Learn to run correctly even if this means running slower for a period. By exercising correctly you will do a better training session if the speed is slower.
